Meet Dr. Roy Jogiya
MB BS, BSc (Hons), PgDip, MRCP, PhD
Dr. Jogiya is an expert Consultant Cardiologist specialising in heart rhythm disorders (Arrhythmias) and Cardiac Imaging. Dr Jogiya is currently part of the Cardiology Teams at Kingston Hospital and Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals where he looks after a range of patients with various cardiac conditions. Dr Jogiya also offers appointments in private clinics across Kingston-upon-Thames and South West London.

His Story
Dr. Jogiya grew up in Kingston-upon-Thames and attended the esteemed Tiffin's School for Boys. Following his secondary and college education, he pursued studies at Imperial College London, where he graduated with honors in 2005, earning degrees in Cardiovascular Science (BSc) and Medicine (MB BS), also picking up the prestigious Diploma of Imperial College London. Dr. Jogiya has amassed extensive experience training at several renowned cardiac centers across the UK, including the Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea, Imperial College NHS Trust, St George's Hospital NHS Trust, and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust.

Dr. Jogiya furthered his expertise at Keele University by obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Medical Law and Ethics. He then earned a prestigious fellowship from the British Heart Foundation, allowing him to complete his PhD in Cardiac MRI at King’s College London.

He specialises in cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, and complex pacing, and is trained in all aspects of general cardiology. His clinical expertise includes the management of chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, dizziness, blackouts, and ankle swelling. He has a specialist interest in heart rhythm disorders, cardiovascular disease prevention, and risk factor management, including hypertension, high cholesterol, and those with a strong family history of heart disease. He also investigates cardiac murmurs and the causes of strokes, and performs pre-operative cardiac assessments. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Dr. Jogiya has conducted numerous research projects and is a well-published author in the UK and internationally.

Dr. Jogiya’s NHS practice is grounded in a holistic, patient-centred approach. With extensive experience across high-performing cardiac centres—including the Royal Brompton, Yale New Haven Hospital, Imperial NHS Trust, and St George’s Hospital—he brings knowledge and perspective to each patient interaction.

He is the recipient of a National Clinical Impact Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the NHS. He was honoured as a Healthcare Pioneer at the Houses of Parliament for his work in cardiovascular disease prevention at the Health Innovation Network, where he serves as Clinical Director. Under his leadership, Dr. Jogiya has joined other medical professionals to discuss a range of issues, from the effective treatment of cardiovascular diseaseshelped shape national cardiovascular prevention strategies and securing substantial funding for lipid management and digital health initiatives. Dr. Jogiya has also led panel discussions at the HETT (Healthcare Excellence Through Technology) show in London and has given many talks and lectures, as showcased below.

Dr. Jogiya is also the Chief Medical Advisor at Heart Research UK and sits on several national advisory panels, including NICE and the NHS Innovation Accelerator. His work integrates clinical excellence with healthcare innovation, driving digital transformation and improving long-term condition management across the UK.
In academia, Dr. Jogiya is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. His research, particularly in Cardiac MRI, has had a significant national and international impact. He is a sought-after speaker and has chaired multiple conferences both in the UK and abroad.
